Description
Evening all :o)
I spent all day down by the river watching the Minesweepers last few hours in the water before finally ,the last bits are dismantled on dry land .The reason for it being dismantled as in most cases these days is vandalism .It was set on fire and when the fire was put out the ship started to list badly and it was then doomed to the scrapyard ..Anyone wishing to see the Minesweeper in better days last year,
Thanks for taking a look and take care

What a colorful image. Great capture. Have a great weekend my friend.
That's a shame. It's going at last. I remember walking down with you and having a look at it.
Great shot Mick and the only thing is it makes me sad to hear that vandalism seems to put a end to so much history all around us.
What a pity. An archival pic, then!
wonderful shot!
Should take the low life people that did it and let them dance through a minefield...Great insight into our crumbling society.
real cool shot
what a story behind.. fantastic shot mick !
Excellent shot, Mick! :)
Thanks for the reference back to your previous shot. It gave me a much better idea of what's going on! An excellent pair of shots, and certainly worthy of archiving for history.
Amazing place :)
Vandalism, why am I not surprised?? Great shot.
Great pair of shots, sad end for such a worthwhile ship.
Very interesting image Mick! I don't recall seeing a mine sweeper before!
