Description
The old Hillcrest cemetery is located at the eastern edge of Mendocino. It dates to 1863.
Many of the town’s founders are buried here.
As someone with a lifelong love of history I have always found cemeteries fascinating.

Beautiful shot! The color is subdued yet rich. I really like the composition of headstones, varied roofs and glimpses of the ocean. I like visiting graveyards too.
