Description

Approximate 10 weeks old today! While he was posing for me, Look at me I'm Sandra Dee kept playing in my mind, thus the title:-) Actually the first image is him begging to be held and he was after the picture for a minute. Then he charged like a little bull out in the yard and back up the steps to sunbathe. He eats three full bowls of food a day now, approximately 4 cups and drinks gallons of water all day. Still does his routine of weeds and wood, plays with all three balls now, and his favorite outside toy is that darned ginger ale bottle. It pops and cracks when he chews or pounces on it and he barks and growls at it. If he has been a good boy he gets a dog biscuit after lunch and as you can see he loves it! He has to play with it before he eats it...The last image is the end of todays tale, thats where he likes to be most of the time, between my feet. He is getting a little better about chewing on me and my clothes but we still have a way to go, he was chewing on the fur on my slippers while he was laying there!:-) He still sleeps with his bunny and can't stand it when I have to wash it as he has to nap without it. He has gained a couple pounds and we had to tie the ball up higher because he is tall enough to reach it without jumping now. Well, there you have it, he rules! He is all boy. :-) I was laughing over his chewing. My Old Man, Roscoe, a pit bull also, chewed the footrail off of my bed when he was teething. Ate the last 2 inches off of a kitchen chair. Left teeth marks on my dining room table legs and did damage to a door frame. He'd do it while we slept or when we ran to the grocery store or when we thought he was napping in another room. I finally started buying him raw cow leg bones - whole bones! - from the butcher, putting them on the grill to cook the marrow and then let him drag it all over the house. those would usually last 2-3 weeks before I had to take them away because he was beginning to splinter them. :-) I'll be starting tonight on that box I'm sending out and will let you know when I have it posted.

Lynn all I can say is you really gave me a boost tonight with this wonderful collage of little Tanner. I love every time you share pics of him as he is so adorable and it does my heart good to see how wonderful his life is thanks to you saving him. Give him a big hug for me please :)

Wow!!! And he sat so nice for you without trying to attack the camera? These are awesome shots, and he's getting soooo big!I think my favorite is the last, safely nestled by his wonderful savior and benefactor. I also understand your being late in comments. I find myself almost an entire month behind, and losing more ground daily, I won't give up....but there are sooo many. Take good care, and thanks for the smiles!

Thanks for the update on Tanner he is such a cutie. Full of puppy love and kisses and energy.... We rescued Prissy a few years ago. Love her too. Enjoy him he will be your best buddy. But yes the chewing stage is always fun...
