Hi there.
Thanks for all the nice words on the spider-week-shots. It's great to be part of the community.
This one I found on the wall of the house of my parents in law. I took a ladder to get a good shot but the ladder was shaking a bit as I climb up and the moth ran away...
I tried to follow with my eyes and stalk her into the garden to manage some shots of this wonderful creature of night. It's a Red underwing moth (Catocala nupta) - in German it would be called "Rotes Ordensband" (means the ribbon a medal is fixed with) - sounds better for me like "red underwing" *g*. Tomorrow I will show you how the name was chosen.
