Description
There are hundreds of these in the pond right now and thousands of little black tadpoles of another species.
The little black ones are about 6mm (1/4') long and these are about 30mm (1 1/4") long.
I took this picture while sitting on one of my docks. I was looking straight down and about 4 foot or so above the water. I was surprised at all the patterns and colors these Bullfrog tadpoles had.
I saw some that had started to developed back legs but none got close enough to the surface to get a good shot.

Thats amazing.
Great shot Lee!
Frogs are cool. This is a really neat picture.
My daughter and I netted one out of the river the other night while fishing. We brought it and a very small catfish back to put in my pond. Both are doing well but the tadpole is very quick and hides long before I get close enough to the water to get a shot. I tried waiting for it to come back out but fell asleep. :-I Excellent clarity!
gorgeous capture!!!
It looks like a prehistoric thing, so unlike the black ones I have. Super clear pic.
Awesome shot! Never seen one of those before. :)
Wonderful and Very Well Done! Be sure to visit my gallery!
Incredible close up ... well done Lee.
WOW gorgeous shot and timing!!
Awesome capture, I haven't seen one in a long time. We used to bring them home and put them in an aquarium in the basement. My mom hated them.
Unusual creature - looks like some guy from a land before our time...
