Description
This one was very frustrating to finish! A friend had an idea for a scene where our male blondie, Nevaros, was holding his shield for the rotund female to hide behind, and I just couldn't get it to work (mostly because she is so much smaller in size). So I went with this pose instead where it sort of implies he's shielding her.
Then, the render kept on locking up at about 95%! Finally I had to render the background and each character separately and paste them together in Photoshop. ARGH. I'm not quite satisfied with how the lighting ended up, but this one was good practice at least. :D

I think all the effort was worth it. I spent quite a long time studying this piece because you really captured a dramatic moment, the characters look intense and the deep dark lighting really rocks this scene.
