Description
The Cornish engine house, built to house the beam engine which powered the pump or the winding gear of Cornwall's tin, copper and lead mines in the 18th, 19th and early 20th century.
I'd be here for hours giving a detailed explanation of these once common of sights in the Cornish countryside (there were 3000 of them!!) So if you're interested then check out this site

A capture set in beautiful Cornwall, a country, county?! I once visited, hitch-hiking my way along the coast through to Land's end. Glad to know that you are a Cocteau Twins fan...one more, and we are more numerous than it seems! Thank you for sharing this beautiful and interesting capture!
