Description
Hi there.
After my vacations I will post a shot of a nice big beetle. This one I found on our door - he walks slowly and so I could take some shots. 3 Days after that shot I found him or one from his family again on the house over the street and take some more shots. I will post them the next days.
Musk Beetles larvae are growing up in old willow trees and the adults are sitting often on the leafs of the willows and they feed on blooms.

Super and wonderful photo! Nice object :-D
I think the setting is sort of detracting from this macro, I would pick him up and maybe put him on a leaf or something- then get the photo with some background bokeh blur, as macro lenses excel in that area, this would allow you to get a few more angles. Of course, there are certain insects I wouldnt try that with, particularly if they bite or have stingers, but generally beetles are easy to handle. :)
lovely shot markus x
It's interesting how he's got a wing not quite put away properly! Excellent details!
