Description
This is one of the biggest male lions I have ever seen. It is obviously a White Lion (specially bred) and his head and mane are HUGE!!! The sad thing is that he was so terribly lazy and wouldn't move. He was just lying there like a statue and I had to wait for a long, long time for the brief moments when he managed to open his eyes at least a little before I could push the shutter... LOL... Well, he is the king - so I thought I would rather say nothing... *grin*
Hope you all had a great weekend! Ours here in Johannesburg was miserable and cold... It rained most of the time - ice rain... Yikes!!!
Have a happy Monday!
Hugs, Carin xx

So majestic. Fantastic image!! :)
Really love how the light illuminates his face! A beautiful animal and capture Carin!
What a beauty Carin, I am loving your lion series!
He is extremely handsome, but I think his laziness is very common in men with good looks!
Ice rain sounds lovely right about now... :) This is one gorgeous hunk of lionhood, Carin. Great capture!
wowowow!!!
You're not kidding about the size. I can see his head and neck are massive. I love the full face in the light. Beign a white lion, it really brings great contrast into this. Too bad he is not more active... maybe he needs a lady in his life to give him a "honey do..." list. Works in my house. LOL
Outstanding photo! As it was once said, 'It's great to be the King!'
Kings DO have attitude--and he's got that and more--another great shot!! BTW--the surf world ROCKS!!
I just could not pass up looking at this one. Wow he is quite massive looking! Too bad he is not active. Stunning photography on this one!
A wonderful portrait, the colors are so warm, great!!
Majestic tranquility and strength.
Very well done. 5+.
great shot!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gorgeous!!!
Beautiful and so deadly!!!
Your gorgeous capture perfectly illustrates what lions stand for in the animal world, commanding respect, with majesty and elegance.
Oh that is indeed a beautiful King. He is fantastic there in the sun. A very lovely capture Carin :-))) It pays to be patient.
He is truly magnificent, you are so lucky to see them in the flesh, so to speak. We had ice rain (hailstones) here last week.
I love this ....such gorgeous and magnificent creatures!!
It's good to be King lol. He is a beauty.
This is such a great series Carin, so thankful you are sharing these wonderful photo's with us
he is really majestic - well captured - fantastic done Carin !!
STUNNING!
Good heavens, I believe you've done it, Carin....this photo is far and above the category of stellar! Terrific lighting and textural effects in the majestic pose the king adopted to satisfy your pictoral needs, my friend! The males of the species are so lazy, leaving the hunting and dirty work to the females. For shame! Incidentally, the royal highness needs a haircut.
Majestic shot, nobody rushes a King!
beautiful, Carin!
Another beauty Carin! You are spoiling me, I love these guys! (((C)))
Excelent side capture.
Oh goodie, sleet !!! (NOT!) Please stay warm :( Great shot Carin... what a gorgeous creature.
