Description
And here he is - the King himself.... This gorgeous male was actually busy spraying or marking his territory when I took this image this past Saturday! When he sniffed the bush a couple of the leaves stayed behind on his head... almost like confetti! I love the look in his eyes and would prefer not to be on his wrong side...
Thank you for your wonderful comments and favs on the little Feisty guy which I uploaded yesterday! He did steal a couple of hearts I see!
Stay well all!
Hugs, Carin xx

Outstanding shot! those leaves on his forehead do not make him look any less threatening!
Excellence Carin, I have said before and say again, you are so privilaged having all this to photograph!...Great job dear friend.
Beautiful shot Carin! I love the leaves on his head! Really great work!

It is so beautiful, Carin. A really fantastic portrait of this king.
aww...incredible shot Carin!
He is awesome, don't know how his street cred would hold out with the leaves on his head. :o)
amazing shot of a beautyfull animal
how amazing !!!!!!!!!!!
Great, he looks a bit fedup though.
When I saw your image title, I thought for sure I'd see a picture of Bruce.. :) Beautiful shot this is ...
He is a magnificent King, wearing those "jewels" upon his forehead like the royalty he is - even if he does "sniff himself" like that. The richness of the light on his mane gives the further touch of gold to his highness and the glimps of dark flank contrasts so well. Stellar shot.
fantastic capture, what beautiful eyes
Beautiful shot!!
Even his GOOD side might be a a bit dangerous! This is stunning, how exciting to carch these gorgeous cats where they live--he IS the king!!
Perfect shot. Wonderful.
All hail the king!!!! The leaves look apt, and in no way detract from his stately presence. Those eyes are amazing!!!! Wonderful capture, ans most appreciative of the share!
A fabulous portrait, really impressive!!
Good heavens, Simba in all his glory! And shades of The Chronicles of Narnia! I wonder, if the old boy was to be shorn of his long hairy locks, whether he would lose his strength, ala Samson. He has the tiniest pupils in his eyes...could have been looking directly into bright light, or is that normal for this big cat species? And, are those petals on his forehead? But I digress. Superlative color and texture in this magnificent portrait, Carin!
I love the way their manes change colors from light to dark!!
So very regal. You can see why he is called the king of the beasts
