Description
I love the wood texture on these pots. Very dramatic and moody. (Insert theme music here.)
It's not real wood, btw. In case you were wondering. :P

very earthy and relaxing image. Love it!
You do pots incredibly well, and this is no exception. I love the various textures and colors! You have such an eye for this kind of stuff and it's always fascinating and relaxing. Superb work, as always! (Oh, and expect sitemail/email this weekend. Chicago news forthcoming!)
It looks really nice Tara, real wood or not!
Wonderful pots and the texture is beautiful Tara! Excellent.
Awesome pot shot...
very original
another of your beautiful pot-shots, where you capture a pot in off-centered ways that allows us to feel we're getting a glimpse into its mysterious universe. (You apply the same choices to pots, flowers, etc. that many photographers, incl you, apply to human portraiture.) But it's also your light, ie that you allow whole portions of it to be immersed in shadow, which brings out the natural mysteries of pottery, its ebbs & flows, etc. And we can see the 'moss' look of the glaze, which is beautiful...like it's growing with moss & lichens...Love what you do with pots, tara. And btw, andrea mentioned Balinese pots: They are exquisite. on the chance that you don't know them, I looked for an example and in limited time this was what I could come up with. it's not great, but it's typical. It's stone, and it's here.
Really nice, outstanding capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
beautiful!!!
