Description

SkyPilot 'Pebbles' was out doing her regular patrol routine of the Badlands, while over on the far-side, 'Bam-Bam' was doing the same... ************************************************* Had some really chunky render times for these two results...Pebbles scene took 18 hours, but I had to do 3 attempts for Bam-Bam's, first 34 hours, the second 8 hours and this final one took another 25 hours. The reason for these long render times, was mainly for my own satisfaction, while experimenting with LW 9.6 and Vue 7 xstream plugin. I am pretty stoked with the results, let me know what you think ? Cheers jif3d :o)

Time well spent I'd say, great panoramic views here, especially on the top frame. Can't wait to see where this series takes us.

The camera angles instill a very dramatic sense of action and motion- and the integration of Vue and Lightwave... well its just freaking awesome! And this is just your first ventures into it- I cannot wait to see what will come in the months ahead as you have more time to get into it- this is already georgeous!

Yes, the results are fabulous! You made excellent use of Vue, and of course the planes are way cool. I particularly like the stretch of the foreground in Pebbles. It's a very life like speed indicator. Well done!

Extreme Render times but damn man, the results are even more extreme. Absolutely Top Notch work Jeff, two great scenes. The terrains are super and those Planes are just freaking Great, the Camo on that second one is perfect Peace

Thre both great each of its own way. The red one is more futuristic, the dark one would perfectly fit in a post apocalyptical world like Mad Max.

oh.... wow..... now that's ..... wow! I can see where the huge rendertimes came in, but seriously well worth the effort.... Pebbles may have the edge in speed, but Bam Bam gets it done with manoueverability, can't wait to see them in a "Furry Hairball" together.... 'course that might take a week of render time.... or to quote Commander, Sir Asimov Vinge Zelazney.... "Good Show... always enter with guns a'blazing, and a flask of Single Malt at your side"

Why is it what seem to be the simpliest images take so long to render, it was worth the time, these are fantastic scenes, you have captured the motion wonderfully. Excellent work, as always Jeff!

They are really excellent scenes and well worth all the time they took to get the marvellous detail. I love how you have managed to get totally different feeling, one from the other. Of course I love the top scene the best as it is more cheerful.
