Description
A fern frond from the Arboretum's fern garden. Pale green and purple? Who would ever have thought of that? Denise has a lovely shot of the whole plant in her gallery. It was pretty spectacular to see this in person!

Gorgeous capture and zoom is super-cool!!!!!
The light makes it all. You & light, you are ancient kin...Yes, it's always wonderful how certain plants have veins of purples in them, they make such beautiful contrasts. And because you've captured shadow around the joins (between leaves and central stem), it makes it all mysterious. A very soft & gentle vision, and I like that you left the background mainly dark. It lets the frond speak to us in intimate words...
Great shot, the ferns perfectly normal, I reckon its Athyrium niponicum 'Pictum',there are lots of unusual ferns and quite a few coloured ones.
It is gorgeous, love the shades, outstanding capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
