Description
I have started redoing a model of a kingston flyer I did a number of months ago in order to see how my modelling prowess has progressed and how much easier lightwave will make things. So far I am happy with the progress.
After day two I have finished working on the front of the train and am starting work on the undercarriage, probably the most complex part of the train.
The odd white line at the top is a cable on the other side of the light, it looks odd becuase its not currently connected to anything as that part isn't built yet.

All is being modelled in Lightwave 9.6

That's looking great, lots of detail there. The way the tank is flattened at the bottom looks a little strange on first glance but it does match the real thing pretty well: http://www.fotothing.com/photos/03d/03d210ef956270e70e53f1aa91443d38_f7e.jpg Seems like the front hatch on the tank should be more spherically curved than conical though. and the plate across the "cow catcher" would be a nice touch.
Wow, very sharp looking modeling work so far! I would be interested in seeing the completed product. Excellent work!
Going well, very nice, looking more like the real thing every day..
Looking good so far Rich, you are really upping your production. Lightwave obviously suits you.
