Description

This is a WIP. The scene is very resistant to lighting and represents a real challenge. I'm sure there are more things that need to be done to get the composition right. I do like this one but it leaves me feeling like it's unfinished. I think what this is missing is "atmosphere." It should have sunlight coming through the trees and the rays showing in a forest mist. Don't know how to do that in DAZ so I guess this is okay as it is unless someone has suggestions. Comments and constructive criticism are always welcome.

The composition of this one is excellent, and if it's just a work in progress I can't wait to see the finished piece.

Thats the one drawback of DAZ, no real volumetric lighting or other effects. Very difficult to "fake" it as well... I do believe, however that Daz 3 advanced has all of that included. Depends whether you want to pay for it or not... Very nice scene nonetheless, great composition, and I think it has plenty of atmosphere just with the character interaction.

Personally, I would call this a finished work (heck of a lot more complete than some of my works! :-) ). DAZ does have some lighting drawbacks but if you get a little creative with your shadowing and lighting you might be surprised what you can accomplish. This is an adorable scene of innocence and, as titled, curiosity. Very nicely complied and rendered.

Well you did manage to get some dappling shadows, more than I've seen in many forest scenes... so I think you did pretty good. What it lacks in technical lighting it more than makes up for in the charm of the characters. The movement of the cat is particularly well done and it's fur looks like fur.

Extremely well done with the playful aspect of the cats approach! I think the lighting is fine in the way that it appears that the sun is shining through the upper leaves of the trees. Other than that, I couldn't tell you how to go about doing anything in DAZ Studio. The only thing I've used that for, is object conversion and export. Great scene here!!!
