Description
There is a pond on the front lawn and I set out to catch a dragonfly. There she was, just sitting there, waiting for me. Bright blue! In the rush to set up, one of the rocks moved on me and I was sitting in six inches of pond water. Saved the camera and lost the dragonfly. Looked up and this was right in front of my nose. Don’t know what she was but she was laying eggs the shape of tiny rice grains.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments & favs.

Hope it was a warm day !!! Glad you saved your camera!! I don't know what that is either ..sort of looks like our black wasps.
nice capture
Very nice shot indeed Dana my friend!
Well captured Dana! So pleased your camera was saved!

Cool shot. Thats a lot of eggs!! Not sure what it is, but I would guess a type of Soldier Fly. Well done!
superb capture!
Good that it all worked out!
wonderful and interesting shot!!!! which insect/fly is that, I do not know unfortunately also. Most insects - also the ladybirds - put rice-granular eggs.
Well no dragonfly but still a most interesting trade off my friend an unusual insect I don't believe I have seen this one before! nice capture.
Very nice image! Thanks for the welcome back. Let me and my brother know when you are back and we can meet at the wetlands......
