Another shot in this short series of a nice swell happening on the south shore of the Big Island. This shot goes to show you that not all rides have a happy endings. Here a boogie boarder pushes his limits and pays for the mistake. As you can see he is wearing a helmet and wet suit as the reef is very shallow here and injuries are quite prevalent in this sport. These guys take their lumps and keep on going...reef scrapes and blood in the water is quite common. He did come out of this unscathed...
