Description

A cabin I built years ago to test Imagine's poly handling...I made every log seperately...177 of em plus all the boards in the front deck. Loaded and textured it in PoseRay but found I couldn't get it into TG2 as a single object so I split off all the logs into 2 seperate front and back, and sides models with all else as the cabinbase so 3 parts and it loaded fine. Couldn't find a suitably flat place to land it so I smoothed out the top of a sand dune with a Paint shader and yhough that didn't make it 'level' all the way it was enuff for me to land it and I built up a rock support at the front with Fake Stones via a Paint shader as well. All veg placed with Paint shaders..can y tell I love em a lot, as well as texture placement for the most part. If y'all want I'll post the full cabin .tgd but be warned, the tree is an old FloraWorks Silver Birch[lightning's?] so that will need replacing as I don't have that in the folder and a grass .tif won't be there either which will need replacing..say the word and I'll pack it up. Thanks for looking..comments welcome.. ...

First don't you dare 'pack' this up. Love it. For TG 2, this gives me hope LOL that maybe someday I can do this. This is a perfectly wonderful Southern looking image. Somewhere south of the Mason Dixon perhaps in Louisiana in the bayous or even further south. Wow... Only thing missing is the outboard to take you to the grocery store when needed :)

Great scene...love the realism to the water, and the distant forest is very convincing...could use a cabin on a lake like this right now!

I can see you've put a lot of hard work into these latest scenes. For me they show that you have a much better sense of scale and perspective than in some of your earlier work. The painstakingly detailed cabin is great (maybe it needs a floor, or shutters over those windows so you can't see inside). @ Pat (ppeterson) I think he means he'll parcel the cabin up to make it available for use by others, not that he is going to pack TG2 in. Good work, Bobby.
