Description
I had a good week with Dragonflies.
I got some nice photos of old standbys and a few new species I have seen before but never got a shot of.
The 200mm lens has been very useful. It gives me some stand off distance and with a 20mm extension tube, it still lets me fill the screen with the bigger Dragonflies.
This is a Twelve Spotted Skimmer (count the dark spots). There are more species on the way.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

Another brilliant photo..so glad I didn't miss this one..looking forward to seeing more...Hugs..K
Gosh, this is wonderful. You have brought dragonflies to the forefront for me. I found one that I captured this weekend that I had not seen before, but then, I never really looked until you started posting your incredible line-up. I have no idea what it was but it wasn't the black and clear ones I generally see. phenominal shot.
Your dragonflies are always eyecatcher - great shot again, my friend.
Stunning and pin sharp.
Wonderful! You sound as though you are gaining confidence in the new kit!
Outstanding capture...
Very nice shot! I just love a pretty dragonfly
Superb capture! Wonderful detail and color! You certainly seem more comfortable with your new cam!
A gorgeous capture. Splendid color and details.
great shot, very nice compo.. normally I would mention that the focus seems to be slightly off the eyes, but actually the wings are far more interesting here and where you've chosen works just perfectly for me ;)
Fantastic capture...wonderful details..!!
