Description
I bought the paperback Rocheworld by Robert L. Forward last year in Seattle when I was visiting my daughter Allison. The cover is a painting by David Mattingly that I tried to imitate here. I used the Flaming Pear filters Glitterato, Solar Cell and Lunar Cell to create the stars, sun and planets respectively. I then used a heavily modified image of a U-2 spy plane for the spacecraft since the spaceship and the U-2 are similarly shaped. I added the flame to the spacecraft in Fireworks and merged the planetary atmospheres using Photoshop. Enjoy!
