Description

A couple of characters from my "Starship Saladin" series. Check out my new website at www.starshipsaladin.com. "The U.S.S. SALADIN is based on the designs of Franz Joseph featured in the the Starfleet Technical Manual, and is used with permission."

Nice image overall. The Saladin looks a tad out of place, like an AMT model kit stuck into the set. Possibly a larger image, less shiny-bright? Roddenberry's unwanted addition of lyrics to Alexander Courage's theme remained a sore point with Courage, as it enabled Roddenberry to claim a percentage of the royalties due Courage whenever the theme was played. In reality the lyrics only appeared in the frontispiece of 1968's THE MAKING OF STAR TREK and were only performed once, on a ST retropective on TV sometime in the early 80s.
