Description
My vacation in Florida gave me time to find beauty in many things. The island we visited was purposely left as nature intended. Apparently, (and thankfully) all the previous visitors felt the same way I do about leaving it untouched.

quite beautiful!
Great fungi nice shot.
Stunning capture.
Stellar textures in this composition, Jodie. Are those round white objects supposed to be fungi? They look like slices of raw potato. And, I see an eye at the lower right on the tree trunk.
You got a great capture there sweetie I really like this and am glad it was left untouched A fav with me Hugs Susan~
Isn't it great to find an untouched patch of nature. Wonderful capture. Dana
hi Jodie !, beautiful image, nice details and excelent textures, nice capture !
The way nature returns nutrients back into the cycle. Incidentally, one of these species had been used in the tinder-boxes of old, but that was way before your time.
Wonderful capture and great find.Fabulous.
(I lied, I said the last one was 'it' for this morning, but I'm back! I wanted to comment on this!) Aside from the novelty of the branch and all those fungi, it's a very musical shot, with wonderful lines going across the dead wood, the sweep of its curve, the "eye" in the lower right portion, and your beautiful bluish-gray hues which almost have a silvery luminosity in spots. And the grasses around it are muted but very fine. I think this is a very expressive shot. And I love the little sprigs of green in a couple of places. I could look at lots of these, and your signature (here he goes again) is in the right spot, in a little cranny and in the right silvery gray. Simple and fine work.
