Description

After 21 years of smooth jazz, WNUA 95.5 FM in Chicago went off the air this morning with a sendoff from Ramsey Lewis and Karen Williams. I listened on and off for those 21 years, and there have been a lot of great music in that time: Ramsey Lewis, the late Waymond Tisdale, David Sandborn, Kenny G, Dave Koz, Kurt Whalum, Pat Metheny, and the list goes on. I don't know what Clear Channel thought it was doing, but that's a story for another time. Thank you WNUA for the memories past and what should have been future ones. That is a shame when conglomerates make the decisions without fully understanding the impact. Hopefully there will be another station to take its place Great render and nice social commentary Maybe you ought to send this to Clear Channel
