Description
This tree was so misshapen that I had to take its picture, this is all you can see of it because it's hidden under tons of brush, vines and other trees. The roots seem to me to be reaching for something, perhaps firmer ground or maybe the tree is trying to get free of the fence. You can see a hole on the left side, that is one entrance to the groundhog's home:-) tho as fat as he is I can't imagine how he gets in there!

What an interesting capture, the tree roots are reaching to get more depth! I have just "Googled" a groundhog as i thought it was a small pig like animal and on seeing a photo on Google, its definitely not! We live and learn!!

It Looks alive.:) This one makes me think of my younger days when me and some friends would walk through Central or Prospect parks in NYC and scare ourselves, thinking the tree roots and misshaped branches were snakes and stuff like that. I love the way you look at nature; most would have walked right pass and not taken the picture. More like this please
