Description
Yesterday I did my rounds of the nestboxes in the garden, so I could update the records online for our National Nestbox 'Challenge' which the BTO run.
I did it late afternoon when most parents are out having a bite to eat themselves. I open the box and take a quick pic: I can't see in myself without getting the steps.
I was thrilled to find this set of youngsters in one box..they are Blue Tits.
There is a brood of Great Tits in another box, and I got a pic of a very peeved Blue Tit mum on eggs in the 3rd!
The Robin box has been predated, but the back garden pair were successful as I showed in the pics I posted last month.
Katraz has a brood of Robins in his greenhouse living in luxury!

Wonderfull Shot
How thrilling! (and not just me but for you too. LOL) They are such angels and so adorable. This breed of bird produces a much better nest than many birds. Outstanding!
What a superb find Andrea, amazing little birds
That's the pinkest pair of blue tits I've ever seen! Fantastic shot, especially for a point & shoot without seeing!
superb image !!!
Wonderful capture of the new addition to your garden.
I favorited this first thing this morning:-) It kept me smiling while I waited for the inspectors...There is construction going on at the house next door and one of the guys asked me why I was smiling off into space. So I brought him in and showed him and he said to tell you it is fabulous! I of course agree!!! You are so lucky to get to see these kinds of things!
Awh Very cute I have some blue birds eggs in a nest next to my neighbors garage & my house so far no babies yet........need to get a pic of the eggs tho........... This is so neat..would love to see them when they are a wee bit older Hugs Susan~
The pink young'uns are shouting to shut the trap door, they're trying to sleep. Stellar colors and clarity in this great shot of the Great Tits, Andrea. Actually, that name elicits a different image in my mind, something I would attach with Dolly Parton and/or Nicollette Sheridan.
Awwwwww
Whoa! I did notice the nudity warning on this one. On the other hand - awesome capture. Dana P
Ohh this is sweet and cute really beautiful shot!!
AWW, so sweet.
Wowwwwwww!!!! What a great shot! That's awesome.
A great picture Andrea!
Sweet little one, such unprotected
What a marvelously wonderful capture! Our Robin is still sitting on her nest keeping her eggs warm. She has found a perfect spot in the ornamental weeping cherry.
How does it work those "nest box" ? I'm interested in making one for my garden ?
They are ugly but yet beautiful as you say it is new life. Stunning capture oif these Blue Tit youngsters.
