Description
Continuing this weeks four picture story arc, here's my VOAT Scorpion one-man interceptor under going a safety test flight with a wing mate. My VOAT Scorpion is based on the jet bike from daz3d with a few modifications. I added the usual wheeled under carriage and then started work on a new kind of cockpit layout for the pilot. I got the idea from the Falcon Interceptor which features in the new Captain Scarlet CGI TV series. The pilot of my Scorpion is contained within the Pilot Pod which sits inside the Scorpion. If the pilot has to eject from the craft the entire pod is blasted free of the craft using a small rocket motor, parachutes and landing legs then deploy from the pod and it floats gently down to earth. Next picture in the story arc tomorrow - see you then.

I think I've seen these little guys near Groom Lake (Area 51, et al). They use the back roads, all of which are paved so the MPs can use them in their patrols.
I saw three of thes flying under the west gate bridge, no lights, just sirens. Great pic.

That's a great job of blending model and photo.
