Description
A close-up of the trunk of my Madagascar Palm taken yesterday evening in my garden. Don't get too close, I've had one of the thorns go through my thumb while gardening. NOT a pleasant experience.

Stunning shot, it looks like the surface of a planet with strange towers! Well done!
Superb. I love it all the way.
Brilliant work!
Awesome!
Fabulous!
I thought for sure this was going to be a cactus, what a surprise! Superb pov and dof here!
Love the texture, I can almost feel those thorns. Ouch!
Great shot. Very dramatic for a plant. Wish I had one of these to keep the neighbor kids out of my yard.....Aloha
Excellent
Shades of the stegosaurus dinosaur, or the Iron Maiden! Those spikes look mighty sharp and wicked! But at least they're evenly spaced for aesthetic purposes. Superlative POV, clarity, light/shadow and textures in this impeccable macro, Kort! Sorry about your thumb.
Very cool!
Wow, these look very unfriendly. I will give that palm a wide berth. Great macro from an excellent angle.
This is gorgeous, Kort! The light is fantastic.
Doesn't look like your thumb had a chance ! Seriously spikey close-up ! ~Cheers~
I killed mine... :-( This is a stellar macro with an abundance of texture and appeal.
Oh my! That is one wicked looking tree....wowzers!
Wow... I cringe at the thought of your poor thumb and glad I didn't encounter this while in your area! Nice shot. Love where you decided the clearest focal point would be.
Fantastic macro!
Great shot!
WOW!!! My mind was, in the desert, in Arizona. Neat little rows for a palm. Well seen - well taken. Dana P
fractals in nature, nice light.
Excellent macro!
WOW! Fantastic image!
Just fantastic! I love the texture bought out by your lense and keen sense of focus.
