Wow, wonderful comments, and I agree with all of them. Some pictures are eloquent for their very placement & composition. Some, for their sheer lighting & shadow. You have both here, a simple piece but with composition & light to perfection. The leaf looks like delicate tissue, it looks so fragile it could almost break. And the lighting is all earth tones, bright & dark; and the simplicity is enhanced by the beautiful dark brown shadow. The great analog photographers did studies like this, a single object w/ a single source of light; and they looked for the most eloquent statement they could find. This has that feeling. Beautiful work, sensitive, and I'll fav it too.
