A different area, another early morning on the Big Island.
I tilted the camera downward shooting just beyond my toes...corny I know, but it's how it was shot.

this is very well done..love the clear water..perhaps a bit over sharpened..I love this type of shot
mmm lovely colours and compo.. the foreground water is special in its transparency and its reflection of the sky.. possibly a tad oversharp, not sure, it looks more like lens diffraction to me...anyway nice shot!

Yeah, for some reason, it does look over sharpened. Hmmm, now you got me confused. Great shot none the less. Only in Hawaii can you take shots like this Every Day. Except when it is raining....lolol... So beautiful and relaxing. Just what I needed. Aloha

First of all, your capture of this early morning sunrise is just fantastic. I'm just glad you left your toes behind the scene. There is not many people who will get up early in the morning and walk over the ocean "lava rocks" to get a picture. I find it really fascinating that the looks and colors of the lava rocks will change right before your eyes as the day changes. Some of my pictures looked exactly like yours and yet like you, I haven't done any sharp adjustments. Some of the lava rocks will look silvery gray in one moment and change blackish in color in another part of the day. The composition of the lava rocks and its minerals changes in different areas. Add moisture to that and it goes into another dimension. I can understand whats happening. Excellent shot my friend. Aloha
