Description
The master pianist
She played the music of the soul
With her camera
Blessed with an eye
For the art in all things
She could take an old tree stump
And bring it to life
My favorite were her storm clouds
They looked like they went on forever
You could feel the rain
Begging to pour out of the capture
She was one little bitty candle
Who put out
An unbelievable amount of light
There are so many great artist in the world
Who are blessed
With the ability to do amazing things
They all have there space in life
But none of them can ever take Valerie’s place
Today I was looking back at some of my old post and I saw a comment by Valerie Ducom. She was so brilliant. To have a artist like her take time to leave a comment on pictures like mine is awesome. I clicked on her name to go back and look at her site and all of her pictures were gone. A great sadness just poured over me. She passed away not to long ago and anyone who ever saw her work knows just how good she was and anyone who never got to see her work I am so sad for you. You have missed a glimpse into a wonderful soul.

Thanks Randy, yet, no need to feel sad for me. It is a gorgeous view from here and a wonderful journey through creativity I have taken today. I have not missed anything; I see her beauty through you. Thanks for sharing.
A great dedication Randy and a great poem...
I get tears in my eyes when I think of Val .. her work was an inspiration to me. I felt the same when I stopped at her gallery and found ... nothing. I was heartbroken. It was then that I really felt she had been wrenched from us. You've written such a beautiful and a hearfelt tribute in her memory. She touched so many of us with the shining light from her soul. I wish her work would have been left up for a while.
Aww...you write so well...beautiful post :-)
She went out of her way to help me when I first joined here,I had sent a site mail to her and asked a simple question, she wrote me right back and said she would send me some files soon with instructions which she did the next day, and I was amazed by that considering her talent, that she took the time to help a newcomer. I hope to repay her kindness by helping others here, whenever they ask, part of what makes this site so wonderful to me. Lovely work Randy..
