Description
Mors tua, vita mea, your death, my life, said the ancient Romans, who were very pragmatic people. I encountered this cat walking calmly across a lawn. I tsk-tsked him and he turned his head and looked at me, then walked away, to eat his prey in peace. Shot taken with a tele lens, last July in Deerfield, Massachusetts, just outside the museum. I'm speaking of the cat as a male, but I couldn't check, so this use of the male pronoun may be an example of gender prejudice!!!!

a very nice industrious mouse hunter!
He (I'll stick with your assumption here) doesn't look willing to share, and probably isn't very fond of having a spectator either.
Great capture!
buena imagen.
Great shot, he looks evil :D
Great shot. Has that look of accomplishment to him.
good cat! he/she is a beauty! we used to have one of those Russian Blues, and she was such a smart and beautiful cat... Wonderful capture!

Beautiful and smug cat! super pics.
A wild silver panther!!! Excellent shots, Beautiful idea!!! :)
Doing what felines are built to do. It was probably a well fed cat and catching a mouse for sport. This certainly is a great capture for you and for her (I think). hugs Jane xx
did you know that house cats are the most prolific killer among the species.they kill for the thrill of killing and are responsible for more than 1000 different specie's deaths. the mouse looks almost the same color as the cat. nice capture

L'istinto dl predatore !Perche' oramai preferiscono i croccantini. La mia gatta se ne trova uno lo uccide e lo porta davanti casa per far vedere come è stata brava ( non ti dico le esclamazioni di Carmen! ).
