Description

This is Hester, Hez Pez, Pain in the neck or whatever I called her. She was the love of my life and I loved her so much. She was such a character, knowing what I thought before I thought it. She was noisy, bolshy, gentle, sensitive, I adored her & she adored me. If I asked her to get me a particular toy, she would always pick the one I asked for. She would sometimes bring me 3 in her mouth at once. She was always the heart and soul of Christmas, loved opening the prezzies, selotape stuck to her, Xmas paper in her mouth. I cannot listen to my Xmas records anymore since loosing her 9 years ago. She loved birthdays and (daft I know) we used to sing happy birthday on the dogs birthdays, as soon as the candles came out and we started Happy B she would bark and only stop when we had finished. Can you remember the day I walked home with you Janice with Hester & Jenna, and Hester came charging into your knees at the back and sent you to the floor? Little monkey. I miss her so much. That doesn't mean I love my present girls any less.

I understand. Another member here made me a gift of a painted portrait of my boy when he died a little over 2 years ago and I had it printed on canvas and hung in my hallway. Although I love my "girls," I miss Roscoe (aka, My Old Man) dearly still. This is a warm, vibrant and touching shot.

A really lovely shot of your late Hester, I don't think we ever really get over such a loss, I lost my persian 18 months ago and really miss him so much. His brothers keep me on my toes, but my Artie is so missed, sending a hug

Oh Barbara Hester was such a dream doggy, and yes I remember it well. I don't know what I was carrying at the time, but all of a sudden a wet Hez Pez nose came charging into the back of my knees at a rate of knotts, and wham! I was down, all I remember is laughing hysterically (Hmm your laugh mostly tee hee) because I still had in my arms whatever I was carrying. I think that the wine we had consumed that morning had managed to lessen the pain of my fall LOL - Ah yes happy days with you dear Barbara, and your wonderful doggies, take care see you next week, hugs Jane (AKA Janice) xx
