The death of a bicycle! Well shot, Martin!
the habit is dreadfull, the shot is wonderful !
poor bikes ...
being an ex river diver I can say it happens in the uk as well near any city bridge !! Unusual subject well spotted
That's awful. But it makes for a cool pic! ")
Interesting shot! I never knew they have strange habits like that. :) Mind you, people around here have strange habits as well...
Australians does it too. I find so many bike abandoned in our lake. Go figure why they doit? Great rusty texture.
Great shot!!
superlative shot!! great colors!
Well on the positive side they made a clean get-away and did not contribute to global warming! It happens here too and also shopping trolleys!
EXCELLENT
Superlative shot of an urban dumping place!
Very dramatic shot!!!
Great shot!
Wonderfully captured, although you shouldn't be able to.
Schitterende foto.
Stellar documentation of this practice. I can't imagine leaving them to ruin. Bad enough to steel them but why not just dump them someplace where someone else can find them and either return them or re-use them? I hate waste!
Impressive,but dramatic!Good capture.
It's a crazy world, we have this in London too, when push comes to shove, and all this crap in our rivers and canals messes up the PH of the water, they'll be the first to go whinging and whining when the taxes rise to clean up the rivers, nice slice of urban life well captured.
Yes it does look like the drowning of the bikes. Makes for an interesting document of life though.
Djeeeee, maar das mijn Fiets....;)
great
There are those with brains; and then, there are the brainless.
But it's a fantastic photograph, and the bikes being half in and half out of the water makes for an amazing image.
they are stealing here also but sell them to pawn shops.excellent representation of our times
Great shot
same all over the world, you should see the canals in London, they make this look clean!!!. What a sad world we live in where we have no respect for nature or the environments we live in
