Description
When the Franco Prussian War threatened to stop all development on the Opéra de Paris, a mysterious fire erupted within the Théâtre Impérial de l’Opéra which blazed for almost 27 hours leaving behind nothing but ashes. With this, investment finally came to finish the Opéra de Paris which opened in 1874 as a masterpiece of modern architecture for it's time. But with the opening, the first sightings of the Phantom seemed to validate rumors that he began the fire that destroyed the Théâtre Impérial de l’Opéra. The Opéra de Paris, it was said, was his masterpiece and none would prevent it's construction without knowing his...displeaure!

This is cool! I saw the Phantom of the Opera Musical movie that came out on DVD, hope one day they make one based on the original novel!
Intresting take on the character. I was under the impression he was caught in the fire he set which is why he wore the mask.
