Description
...nothing really original here, but I seem to have a thing about overcast or semi-overcast forest scenes :)
But a significant thing in this one is the Vue 7 radiosity render speed, which actually is much faster compared to earlier versions, I'd actually be reluctant to try this with "my old Vue".
Toolbox: Vue 7 Complete, Onyxtree, XFrog, G3D (AKA "Bantam3D") "Twig" & "Grass", and Photoshop for minor corrections.
Some 2.5 hrs render with "outdoor radiosity", user settings, a little more than medium AA settings.
All objects & textures by me.
***UPDATE***
Chosen as E-On's "Picture of the Day" march 1. 2009.
Hope you like this, comments etc. very much welcome and appreciated.
Have a nice day

The radiosity really makes this image. Nice work!
That track looks really good. The vegetation is superb, as usual. Another excellent piece.
Very nice
Beautifulsoft light, really nice piece
the ground on this is excellent. overall, this has lot less grain than i'm used to seeing in Vue radiosity renders. i really like the vegetation. the pinecones add welcome detail. very lush, and very realistic.

Everything in this scene looks super - the track, atmosphere, plants...but what I really love best is those ferns in the left side foreground. They're perfect !
