Description
I was testing how to make a sun dog as per a suggestion by kimariehere. I was able to make this halo instead. I will work on it some more to try to achieve a sun dog. Have Fun!
UPDATE: The technique I used was to duplicate the entire image into another layer. Then, I rendered a spotlight on the top image and set the opacity to 10 or 15 percent. Finally, on the background layer, I selected the entire sky using the magic wand tool, inverted the selection, copied the selection and then pasted on top in a third layer.
