Description
long the Ovens River in Wangaratta there are these Jettys,
On a hot summers night and early mornings they are great spots to catch fish in the river.
Redfin, and of course the legendary Murrey Cod are caught in this river.
Some Murrey Cod ca be 4 to 5 foot in length and weigh accordingly.
Some Anglers use a nylon thick rope with Bardygrubs as bait.
If you catch a 'wooper' in the past it would be 'mounted' on wood and hung in the local 'pub'
