Description

The cats are from a sketchbook of cat-studies. The dog--- well, he's a bit light in the 'anatomy' department, but he means well & wanted to be included. (The flower, btw, is called "Reggie".)
* * * * * * Happy Valentine's Day and thanks for all your visits! Peace & joy, Mark

exciting as always.fully on Koosievantutte's side: hunting dogs can't be stupid by nature: they should feed their masters and their families.

Mark this is wonderful and I could tell by the thumbnail I was going to love these images. The cats are great and I was wondering if there was a reason you drew them in the pov of going away. The dog to me was superb and I love how you have her sniffing the flowers

Your handmade drawings talk a lot, Mark. Express a lot, with very limited means. The silly dog sniffing Reggie, has a kinda romatic expression. 3 fine pieces, reminding us, that fantastic results, can be obtained, using few means.+5

I agree with LBJ2. 2 big fat cats round and wonderful and a darn charming silly little doggie sniffing flowers with his long nose and his head tilted. It looks so funny HIHIHI!!! I love them all ALOT !

LOL - These are great Mark - wonderful set, your expressive lines are hard to beat. Cat thought: Sigh, nap time. Dog thought: Eh? Whasthat? Sniffffffffffffffffffffff.

Lovely. Funny, the dog sketch grows on you, you did catch the character of the breed maybe? ;) Love the cats, remind me of my two... Enjoy the day!

It's perfect that the cats refuse to face us... that's JUST like a cat! Wonderful likeness of the stubborn, yet adorable, felines. Even your single pencil strokes give them a soft fluffiness! The dog... well everyone is reaching to greet that friendly one. Loooong lines point his way. The flower stretches to be inhaled and even the sun is stretching a slender hot finger to touch the top of his long muzzle! He has his head at a bit of a tilt to see what holds up this friendly flower! Ha...He thought he was the lowest to the ground until now. This is great, Mark. :-) I could write a whole story about this trio. Geeze... loooong comments must be contagious...

With just a few lines you can convey and suggest so much. Maybe someday you will produce an animation of these drawings. Creative work, Mark.

How did I miss this one? I think it's just nature that cats are serious and dogs are silly!! So, of course, the dog is my favorite!!

You've captured the independent and sometimes contrary nature of cats and an enthusiastic dog always seeking out new friends. I like how the flower is leaning toward the dog as well as if it is checking out the dog. Like others have often said at your gallery: you are good at putting a lot of emotion, storytelling, and humor into very few lines.
