Killzone 2 is getting released soon for the PS3, which got me wanting do some game inspired fan art.
A big thanks to Rackelstar who really helped me work on the Helghast Empire flag and bounce ideas off of.
I used Poser, Vue and a lot of painting in Photoshop.

nice use of Vue's instancing! and i think the light and shadow are perfect. it's not too dark to see details in the foreground, but it is in the background where details make the image fussy and often grainy. i definitely advocate zooming. i find this picture rich and dark. i don't know anything about the game, but the image is stellar.

Damn! That's one hell of a scene! The number of soldiers, the background setting- fog effects, fire in the sky- pov and everything- quite a superb piece!
