Description
The Carson & Colorado Railroad was incorporated in 1880. By 1883 the narrow (3') gauge line stretched 300 miles from Mound House, Nevada to Keeler, California. Southern Pacific purchased the Carson & Colorado in 1900 and converted the northern portion to standard gauge. The southern part of the line remained narrow gauge until it was abandoned in 1960.
There are still a few remnants of the old C&C left today, such as this depot in Keeler, originally built in 1886 (Second story added in 1917).

Excellent well done..
Great capture and history. Thanks
Fantastic work.
Is good Photoshop work here, almost like a drawing.
Reminds me of the old pics my dad has stashed away in a decrepit old album. Nice work!
Very nice 2D result. I like this image.
I really like this! 5
Nice photo (?) with a definite sense of the melancholy, looking at the muted and sullen, yet warm colors. Interesting bit of history here!
Very interesting shot!!
