WIP - H'lomeh Farm House
Perhaps, I should say WIPs, since there are a number of renders posted here. The H'lomeh are a race of humanoids that appear in a number of my science-fantasy novel manuscripts.
Work stopped on this project over a year ago--maybe even two years ago. Don't really know why; considering that it was about 90 percent completed and the hardest part was already behind me. As for the architecture, it is a mixture of Japanese and Korean country homes that I observed in the late 1950s and early 60s. The floors are heated the way Korean houses were, then, with an outside wood burning furnace that piped the heat under the floor with a maze of square wooden or clay vents. You could probably get away with using this model for rendering Far Eastern scenes, too. As you can see, it could be used for both indoor and outdoor scenes. Be warned, though, that it is a model that comes with a lot of megabytes: 40.6 MBs so far! I don't think it will be over 50 MBs, when finished. I'm hoping to keep it under 45 MBs. What do you think of it so far? Anybody interested?
Thanks for all your comments on my previous couple of renders. I always appreciate feedback--positive or negative.

Please say this is going to be available for Poser :)
Wow this looks really nice. Great job!
Excellent!
You'll be looking for funiture.
Very well done! It looks pretty complete to me - just add some furniture and its finished.
Looks great! It's fun to create objects for our renders. :)
That is one nice house! I like the shape and layout of it. It really does have that eastern / oriental flair. I think it could also fit well as a fantasy 'middle ages' type house, or even a Conan genre type wealthy homestead. Or even a hospital or healer's house, or even one of those relaxation type get-away mini-resorts, or even a Master's training studio. Martial arts or dance? The size, design, and layout this house offers limitless possibilities for one's imagination of uses. It makes me wish I was a Bryce user. On the technical side: I too would like it if you made it as a poser item, or even basic .obj exported format - if its possible. I don't know if the textures are Bryce's procedurals or actual textures. This being Bryce, it's hard to tell. I wouldn't be worried about the end file size. Your construction work looks solid, and alot of decent poser stuff these days do reach up into the 40's and 50's range in file size, usually with high resolution textures being the bulk of the file size. Even if you don't do a poser or a .obj format export, thats alright man. Its still a lovely house, and a nice item for any Bryce user. Don't let all your hard work goto waste, try and finish it. :)
Looks very pretty so far! Nice modeling! :)
What awesome modelling!!!
Nicely modeled and textured.
Fantastic model, plenty of details and very well textured.
Looks good... i think most would enjoy seeing this in the freestuffsection
Do you mean you modelled this in Bryce? I am in awe.
I have to agree, this is some nice modeling and the floor plan is really good.
