It's for holding very small model parts if you are say constructing a model boat or plane, or maybe parts of a watch. The magnifying glass is very handy. I have one of these. I use it for holding the very small pieces of the model of HMS Victory I am making. Very useful tool. And this one is very well modelled in Bryce.
