In astrophysics, black matter (or matter sinks), translation of the English dark matter, indicates the apparently undetectable matter, called upon to return account of unexpected effects, in particular about the galaxies. Various assumptions were put forth and explored on the composition of this hypothetical black matter: molecular gas, died, dwarf stars brown in great number, black holes, etc However, the observations (or rather the lack of direct observations) would rather imply a nature not-baryon, and thus still unknown, although one strongly supposes super-partners such as the neutralino. These exotic particles are gathered under the generic name of WIMP, acronym of the English Weakly interacting massive particles.
The black matter would however represent an abundance five times more important than the baryon matter, to constitute from 22% to 27% of the total density of the Observable universe, according to the models of formation and evolution of the galaxies, as well as the cosmological models.

Vibrant! Full of movement and colour.
Just great!!!
I've watched a few shows on tv about dark matter and it's fascinating, isn't it....beautiful image Claude !
