Description
This birdhouse hangs by my kitchen door. Usually its inhabited by the little chickadees that come to feed daily but no entrance now! Its been brought in now because another squirrel got in, this time in my kitchen and he chewed a hole in the kitchen floor by the door trying to get out! So the floor had to be repaired and I can't open the back door now:-( When we pulled the birdhouse in and knocked all the snow off, it appeared the squirrels had been trying to chew their way into the birdhouse too, probably in search of food but maybe a place to get out of the awful weather too.
We remain freezing here, daily have to shovel the walks and front stairs and tho we will have temps in the 30's today, we will drop down to the teens again tonite and continue to drop thru Friday, a mere 2 degrees above to -7 (or more) below on Friday. Brrrr!!! Its so cold! So I am wishing you all a lot of warmth! For all those on the east coast, don't go out unless you absolutely have to and layer those clothes! On a personal note, if you have asthma like I do, make sure you cover your face well, that freezing air in your lungs is not a pleasant thing and brings on an attack for me! Stay safe all!
