Description
Hi,
Happy New Year to one and all and many thanks for all the wonderful comments, crits and favs on my previous.
This was my entrance into the 'Home for the Holidays challenge' and wanted to add it to my gallery, I know it's not the most creative, mystical and original idea LoL, but I like it.
Congrats to the winners and nice to see a Vue one in the top six.
Many Many thanks to Wabe, GillB, Tablesaw, MDM Ltd, Brent Wesson, zxcvb, Ariel.
Have a creative 2009.
Chris

The lighting is just right - it's not easy to get enough ambient indirect light in daylight renders without flattening everything but you've hit it really well here! Would be interested to know what Atmosphere settings you've used. Cheers Richard
Yes, the atmosphere here is spot on... fabulous work!
Outstanding image. I was working on something similar for personal use but not nearly as nicely done or detailed. Great job and Happy New Year!
Wonderful render - the snow material is gorgeous! Awesome lighting!
Well done Chris! The Igloo and the pine tree looks like an odd combination, but hey, who's complaining. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Bravo. Top notch.
Great Holiday Image - Keep up the great work - you always do such stellar work!!! Happy New Year to you as well. I have been involved in some other media projects lately and have not had time to ink... but I am carving out some time over the winter to finish and start a few new pieces - hope to post new stuff soon. Be well.
Nice winter scene, feel like I could kick up the snow there in the front. Lets hope for a wonderful, "Better", 2009
Lighting is very good....looks really realistic....very nicely done!
The radiosity here is flawless- perfectly capturing the illumination addition by white snow- masterful render!
Fantastic winter sunshine atmospherics and lighting! I love the snow texture on the ground too - simply amazing :) Wonderful work!!!
This is an outstanding work!
Very nice! As we say in Frnace: "Que c'est mignon!" That means someting like "it's so cute!" Excellent lighting and textures!!!!!!!!!!
Great job.
Wonderful winter atmosphere Chris and the lighting is spot on. An excellent piece. Happy New year to you and yours. Keep warm!
Superb lighting and setting, first class work.
This is really lovely - and it's just what our weather's like at the moment !
Beautiful work.
Very sweet winter scene, well done and Happy New Year to you too :)
Beautiful Vue work!!!
Beautifully done and not a bit out of place...very carefully crafted and it shows...obviously the inhabitants thought that the fence should be a bit more permanent than the house...somewhat territorial i'd say....great work.
This was one of my favorites, beautiful work!
fabulous!
Wonderful winter feel here, well done.
