Description

USS Cumberland redesign! This year I have decided to clean-up a few of my ship designs and the Cumberland will be the first. I have over-hauled all the major components of the ship. The command module is the first image that I will be posting. The spine section with fuel tanks has been added, the communication section has been completely redesigned and the engine section has had a major refit. I will be posting new images in the coming weeks showing all the redesign plus images with the Cumberland at Saturn. The model was created in both Bryce 5.5 and 6.1 just using the Boolean objects that come with the program. The astronauts are just Boolean object. Excellent work! Your usual level of detail shows through I'd like to see a front or oblique view, but I imagine that's coming, so I'll be patient. (Yeah, Boolean astronauts, great idea! -- I should do the for my exploration renders -- not happy with the poser stuff out there for 21-22 century garb)

I'm continuously astonished at the quality, realism, and details in your models. What I love as well is that this is the kind of thing we could be building right now. NASA should be using your models for their designs! (or using you go illustrate what they are doing)
