by mikeerson (online now) on Dec 30, 2008 6:30:36 pm [homepage] [delete] SUPER JOB RIGO. I watched the animation, would love to be doing that with my Bondage series, but have so much mor to learn first. Intro was good, but long.... Suggest makinging something like 20th Century or Warner Bros. Then fading into some short 2 to 3 minute story and then fade out and Put your title in. Have to cut it short... over all, I liked it. (CONTINUED LATER...) Sorry I had to cut this short earlier....my Wife summoned me - lol... I really like what you got going here, and I'm sure you did all this by yourself. I made an animated story years ago, took a few months and my x erased it... It was a starter... about yours though, your sound effects are top notch, I heard the sound effects of the Enterprise when they have problems with their engines like in the Doomsday Machine episode... Other than that, your sound doesn't sound like it's copied from something (that I'm aware of)... GRADES.... A For sound, sound effects. B For voice overlays.... This could be a low grade, but I felt like it added something to the show - I felt like I was watching an oriental fighting show with the bad voice dubbing... I gave you a high B cause I liked it - don't know if you're happy with it though. Points of view were good.... the action... well the part where Rigo is working on the ship and the 3 aliens come to shoot at him... I think you should of taken time for him to get into a pose and shoot, instead of just shoot - kinda corny.... Then, he hits an alien, they are shot, but seconds later, you see three there again... I know animation takes a long time... and when you spend a lot of time on it, it is so easy to say "I should of done this".... Your lighting and coloring, I like... Out of all my favorite artists, you really are the only one taking this 3D animation serious.... You did a very good job on this and you are now seeing things that you wish you would of done... a year from now, You will be really good at this (If you stick with it). Suggestions??? Character developement is very important. Veiwers get lost with characters - so when introducing them, maybe hook the viewer by telling them something special about the character - I think you characters were intro duced good. one last thing... this is the area of My Bondage series that you will notice I don't put a lot of effort into yet but will - - it is the background, the props, the ships... when Rigo was working on the ship, some tools laying out, sparks of light, loose wires - it would not of taken too much more time to put those in, and that can make or break believing that he is working on it - add some humor, as he's working on it have him get shocked - lol... Rigo needed a sidekick (I feel this will help the story) His side kick could be the stronger or the weaker of the two - give them different personalitys so they conflict - it makes the story interesting. ... the characters standinging side by side and swaying - seems generic... Don't forget to move the camera, differnt pov would really add to this.... light effects were good... Anyway, I know how much time this sort of thing takes, and I know if I say something like change your pov often and different angles... It may be the thing that triggers your animation to the next level. I just wanted to give you some input because I would want it If I did an animation... It disapoints me that artists stop by our galleries and don't leave comments. I left you my comment hours ago, and really wanted to say somethings like I did here - it's helpful (but only if you take it that way - please don't think I'm putting this down) Overall, I give this a B.... But, I am a hard grader, even on myself - lol... plus, if I told you this was an A, you might not push yourself harder... the harder you push yourself, the better this will be.... You know, Renderosity has thousands of artists. All my favorite artist all get interested in a path and stick with it for a while - Like rgus is into pinups, efron-241 is into lights, you are into animation... Me, I'm into story/character developement. I try to make my Bondage series entertaining, yet I'm using it to help teach myself poser6 - Bondage is only a "storyboard" too me - I see so much more in my head, but I'm just really trying to get down the story and characters.... last year when I started this, I did not know where James Bondage came from... cloneing wasn't even a thought..... What helped me out a lot was, I took a character (Dead Sexy) and said, what does this character want? What makes this character tick - I though "Skin" (she was a skeleton)... she wants skin and how is she going to get it, AND what will she look like when she gets it??? When I took that one character that was not the star and started asking questions, I knew right then and there I just found a story that had not been told and I fell in love with it... Well, I hope I didn't bore you, but I felt you could use some words of encouragement after spending a lot of time putting this together.... You know, It take many artists to come together to create an animation... You did great by yourself... Find others here on Rendo that like animation and trade links with each other on animation techniques.... make a library of these links that tell you how to do this.... a half a year or so, I may ask you if you have some links to get started into animation... I ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO.... Just when I thought I was going to say good bye - lol Here is an idea that I have always wanted to do. Stories to songs. Take or make a song that is not copy writed and squeeze a complete story in it... In videos, they always like to repeat or go back to a scene - forget about doing that - go forward and keep going forward in your song. I don't know how long your video lasted, but a song is usually 3 to 5 minutes ... find a happy length and make a show that lasts 5 minutes.... consider that a story and a completion - BUT, at the same time, it is only a chapter. Song two is the story part two... keep all your stories uniform in length. If 5 minutes is good, stick with it. Well, I hope you enjoyed reading this almost as much as I enjoyed your video... Stay enthused, love what you're doing, stick with it - visualized it long before you start creating. Thanks for making it. Peace, Mike
love the strength of your figures when i have time i am going to view your animation and pick apart your brain on how you created it i had started animating years ago and then when all hell broke loose in my life i stopped my goal this year is to get back into doing it i finally have a stable comp.
YOU SHOULD,THANK YOU
