Description
alrighty, this is my first picture ever made with terragen
well, the first one was massively pixellated because i had no idea about that "detail" scroller :p
i still can't really get the hang of the program, especially the camera, but, i'm pretty happy with this one for now
please comment, it's the only way i can learn this amazing little program better :)

Ahh, your first! OK, let's see: The surface isn't visible, so i can't say much about ... there is a lot of "simple haze", but that fits the mood. The viewpoint is OK, too. There are no heavy mistakes, go on and show me your 2nd!
I have to agree with topsider...although I would say the fog is a bit too blue..not much, just a tad. Very nice start to your terragen career, my friend. Your landscape shapes and positions look good. Nice job.
Its a good first image...getting that camera angle was good and makes the view much more interesting....I like the blue haze effect because it fits this view...we can always send you links for tutorials and contests...join the fun ;)
i dont think i ever showed you my first attempt hehe.. or maybe i did.. either way it was a disaster :p but yours turns out good babe :)
Terragen is a wonderful little program, and capable of likely some of the most realistic landscapes and seascapes I've ever seen - and it's Free price tag gives anyone a chance to create their own exterior backgrounds. I used this gem in Twilight's Gleaming - although only roughly - as I'm not experienced with it either. I've seen many paintings hanging in both home and office that portray misty hills in much the same way as you have achieved here - so you must be on the right track. Congratulations on yet another program added to your vast repertoire of 3D programs - you are going to be one of the most prolific artists in Renderosity as you learn to master each one.
