Description
After I posted the shot*** the other day of this plant in my window, I looked it up. It is indeed, a Lithop, also known as "living stones"**. Amazing that this sweet little flower blooms from such a plain looking plant.

Indeed, that's an amazing plant! Excellent shot!
One needs to sing a spiritual while looking or at least hum in harmony.

crazy looking but beautiful!
LOVE the light!!! (I'm gonna wonder all day long how tallpindo hums in harmony all by himself. What a neat trick that must be!) LOL!
Awesome textures in this great shot!
Wonderful plants and capture, Clive
wow do look wonderful.
Stellar clarity and lighting effects here, Marilyn. Unless one is a pantheist, there ain't no such thing as a living stone.
Don't throw them at anyone !!! [^____^], amazing yes !! Cheers, Roger
Very nice shot. I have never seen this kind of flower before. Happy New Years. Aloha
ok I'm skipping around (I'll get to everyone soon!) Didn't realize what this was until I read your descr: How many personalities this plant has! Yes it does look like stones but it also looks like some extra-terrestial growths (succulents can look that way—they're some of our most exotic plants). You caught some great wrinkles, it has real bulbousness & all kinds of little details that make it all the more exotic. Fine against the dark background too...Just what macros are supposed to be: Glimpses into all the worlds that the naked eye doesn't stop to see. This is a formidable shot. Fine work.
