Description
This is the last of three of the big surf fotos I took yesterday. I was a long way away from the water, on a hill, using my zoom lens. These waves are not friendly and need to treated with great respect. I give them all the room they need.

Absolutly th best in this series. And they are all awesome. Waow!
The rip tides must be strong during these high surfs. Aloha
WOW, Fantastic Shot Marilyn!!
The light is gorgeous. Wonderful capture!
Crikey!
no good for paddling then..... :)
You and me both Marylin, I would also treat them with the greatest respect, the surf aint half as bad as the stuff they encounter in the Deadliest Catch, but then we arne't talking Alaska here. They can be just as treacherous though, I leave this stuff to those that can swim and surf in the stuff, but even those have accidents now and again. Superb captures, all three, I have been busy and unable to comment. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
Love those offshore winds, the backspray is wonderful!
I know what you mean... I went into the water about 20-25 ft., to get some shots, and as soon as I turned around trying to shoot the beach, a huge wave came from nowhere and splashed me... lucky me, it was hot outside, so my clothes dried up fast!
Fantastic blue sky in the background which tells me, with waves like this, a cold and breezy weather front is headed inland. Great colors and wonderful shot.
Nice shot!
awesome!!! warm hug, Linda
Now that is damn scary. They certainly have a very powerful and awesome look to them.
Great light Maz!. I like this.
Oh fantastic Marilyn!
Perfect, very impressive capture!
My previous comments regarding Wild Surf Nos. 1 & 2 also pertain to this shot, M.
big for sure. bet it waswondeful and fearful to hear the sound of these waves
Look at all the sand in the water....bet you all have trouble with beach erosion out there too huh?
Lokks like a winter storm rolling in. Great waves!
